The Car
Ferrari built the 360 between 1999 and 2005. It has a 3.6 litre V8 engine mounted in the centre of a lightweight aluminium chassis. The stunning bodywork was developed by Pininfarina, offering a new design philosophy over the sharper edged F355 which it replaces. With 400 bhp from the engine, the car can rocket from 0-60 in just over 4 seconds, and keep going to nearly 190mph.
The Model
The model was built from the 1:24 Tamiya kit. It has a realistic engine, with opening rear cover. This is another one of my early models. The engine was weathered to add realism, and the engine bay lined with carbon fibre trim. The interior was flocked to represent carpet, while the exterior had the wheels changed for the Stradale versions, with drilled brake disks fitted.
