The Car
The GT-R is synonymous with racing in Japan and Australia, winning numerous races across both countries. The Skyline GT-R became Nissan’s flagship car in terms of performance and technology. These technologies included a 4 wheel drive and 4 wheel steering system that made the GT-R the car to beat in handling. With a 2.6 twin-turbo engine, the performance matches the handling. The Skyline’s have become very popular for modifying, with some cars having the horsepower increased to over 1000bhp!
The Model
Another one of my early models, this was built from the Tamiya 1:24 kit. The front intake was filled to create a smooth bonnet. Flocking was used on the interior to represent the carpet, while the chassis was weathered to reflect use. The car was built fairly standard, having no engine detail in the kit.
