The Car
The Porsche GT3 was the latest in a line of 911 variants built for the FIA GT racing series, in both road and track form. Powered by a 3.6 litre flat 6, it produces 360bhp. To make the car as lightweight as possible, any unnecessary items were removed, including sound deadening, rear seats, rear speakers and the air conditioning.
The Model
The model was built from the 1:24 Tamiya kit. It was painted with a custom candy green over a silver base, with chrome trim on the mirrors. The rear tailpipes were trilled out and the wheels painted with chrome paint. The interior used the basic kit parts, which includes a realistic carpet material.
