The Car
The Shelby Cobra combines the British Styling of the AC Ace and the American muscle of the Ford 427 V8, with the combination developed by Carroll Shelby for racing. Although the car was faster than all the others in America, and faster in Europe in the corners, they could not compete with the Ferrari’s of the time on the long straights. This lead to the development of the Shelby Daytona Coupe.
The Model
Based on the 1:24 Revell kit. The engine bay was detailed and wired. Flocking was used in the interior to resemble carpets. Kit chrome was stripped and repainted using Alclad II paints. The body was painted with blue candy paint over a silver base.
