Tech 3 Monster Yamaha YZR-M1

The Bike
The private Tech 3 team use the Yamaha YZR-M1 to compete in the Moto GP class with riders Colin Edwards and James Toseland. The bike depicted here is Colin Edwards' from 2009. Due to the performance of both riders, the team finished 4th in the World Championship, with Colin finished 5th overall.
The Model
The model is built from the Tamiya 1:12 kit, with a number of extra's added. There is a fully working chain and various screws, cables and fittings added throughout to add realism. I used the Top Studio super detail set for the majority of the details, but there were a number of extras also added.
